This week we will begin our zoo unit. We will study zoo animals and read stories about zoo animals. Some of our favorite zoo stories are Good Night, Gorilla, Five Little Monkeys, and From Head to Toe. We will learn the letters Nn and Dd and their sounds. We are working on patterns, number recognition, and counting. Please use the flash cards to learn the high frequency words.
Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Our new behavior reward will be stripes on a zebra. This party will be in two weeks; so, the students will need to earn 8 stripes to attend. Each student will be given a blank zebra; a stripe will be added each day the student's car stays on track. I am looking forward to a fun unit!
Friday, October 9, is our schoolwide good behavior reward. All of our students will be attending the picnic! I am so proud of our class!
Remember, next week, October 12--16, is intercession. There will be no school that week.
