Thanksgiving

This week we will begin studying about Thanksgiving. We will study the Pilgrims and how they came to America. We will study the Indians and their culture. We will learn how the Indians helped the Pilgrims survive in America. We will learn about how the holiday is celebrated today. Some of our favorite stories include A Plump and Perky Turkey, The Night Before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving at Plimouth Plantation, and Thanksgiving. We will make many crafts to celebrate the holiday.
Our celebration will be Friday, November 20, at 10:30 a.m. We will have stations with special activities for the children. We are asking each child to bring $5 to cover the cost of supplies for the activities and costumes. We will also need a few parents to help at the stations.
